Where our coffee beans come from

Three farms less than 30km away, roasted in two batches a week. Why we have not switched to imported beans.

We are in Buon Ma Thuot. Thirty minutes of driving gets you to a farm. So choosing where our beans come from was never a hard decision.

Every bean we use comes from three farms within 30km — two robusta plots and a small arabica plot higher up. We buy by the season, roast two batches a week, and never keep beans longer than ten days.

Why not imported beans

  • Beans grown close by are roasted close by, and drunk while they are at their best
  • Prices stay steadier, so we do not raise ours every time exchange rates move
  • We know which plot and which season — so when a guest asks why today tastes different from yesterday, we can answer

That is also why the menu is short. Every drink has to work with the beans we have right now, consistently from the first cup of the day to the last.
